The website depicted here replaced what was once three, separate, non-responsive websites — each devoted to a specific property. Mark convinced the owners that a mobile-friendly, retina-ready solution was desperately needed and that there would be an added value, in terms of SEO, if all three properties were compiled into one site.
Mark traveled with his client during the off-season to tour the Island which is part of the San Juan Islands, off the coast of Washington state. He consulted with and advised the photographer during the visit. As the site was built, he optimized the content (SEO) and installed a calendar plugin that syncs with the respective VRBO/HomeAway and AirBnB profiles — which Mark also created and maintains — for these properties. Additionally, he installed Gravity Forms which helps generate the rental agreement for each reservation acquired through this site.
Mark collaborated with one of the owners to produce the logo which successfully strikes a balance of contemporary and traditional aspects reflected in the varied architectural styles of the homes.
