An independent group of local citizens in Great Barrington, MA, set out to celebrate the most famous native son of their town, W.E.B. Du Bois, by erecting a statue of him in front of the Mason Public Library.
Mark was hired to design and develop a website that recognizes the community effort, solicited potential scupltors and — most importantly — serves as a base for fundraising efforts for this not-for-profit organization. As mock-ups were created, he was also asked to salvage the design of a de facto logo, using a copy of Du Bois’ signature. Since the launch of the website, Mark has produced one-sheet mailers, newsletters and banner ads — in total, a suite of design and digital marketing materials for this non-profit organization.
