BELLA Skin Beauty (BSB) is a “clean beauty” skincare brand, created by a mother-daughter team in Los Angeles. Consistent with the definition of this growing segment of skincare, BSB’s products are devoid of chemical ingredients. Instead, they are created from botanicals and exquisite oils that are organic, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly.
Initially, Mark was hired by the client to resolve a problem of discoverability, or lack of — search engines were not locating the BSB e-commerce website when a direct query for the brand was submitted. Successfully resolving the issue, Mark was subsequently hired for various piecemeal tasks including rounds of search engine optimization, Google and Facebook advertising account and campaign set-ups, troubleshooting slow page-load issues, among others.
Fast forward to October 2020, Mark was then tasked with shepherding a much larger project for BSB, migrating their site from Squarespace to Shopify. The project quickly evolved into — additionally including — a big design upgrade that Mark directed and produced. He was also responsible for researching and implementing a series of app integrations in the new Shopify site that allow BSB to extend its engagement with customers — this includes, but is not limited to, their new rewards program.
