Gender Wellness of Los Angeles

Client from 2014-2023

Tastebud’s work, on behalf of this Los Angeles mental health practice, spanned multiple visual design applications and content development including writing and editing. Initially taking over a WordPress theme migration that was initiated by another service provider, the primary focus evolved into editing much of the content already published on the site — to improve the editorial quality with an eye towards search engine optimization (SEO) — while gradually improving the visual presentation. Continued work with Gender Wellness of Los Angeles (GWLA) bolstered the practice’s presence elsewhere on the Web, including social media profiles, which eventually paid off as the website began to appear on the first page of (organic) Google Search results using relevant search terms.

Over time, a new website design and refinements to the branding scheme were implemented, working with the client’s team on a retainer basis. From 2021-2023, Tastebuds’ contributions extended even further to include preparation for/editing and other post-production/publishing/distribution of the Over the Binary (OTB) podcast. Each episode was presented on Youtube and as an audio-only stream.

Client Review:
In Her Own Words

I’m a long-time mental health care provider with multiple areas of expertise. I practice in what is a very competitive market, here in Los Angeles, and I felt my web presence had begun to fray. Thus, I initially began to consult with Mark Gentile”

“…delivered beyond what I expected in terms the amount of time he spends really getting to know the nature of my business and in the results he’s produced — my website traffic has more than tripled and my rank in search engine queries have significantly improved. What stands out for me is that he’s extremely organized — he regularly maps out a plan of action on weekly/monthly basis — and has helped me leverage the relationships with my colleagues for cross-promotion opportunities. I recommend him highly!”
