It was mid-November 2023 and Mark had just accepted the opportunity to design a website for this client, a non profit that was just establishing itself after splitting from another organization called Families with Children from China.

So, the holidays were fast approaching and it was vitally important to my client to have a website up and running, in time for Giving Tuesday, touted as a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.” It’s always the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving, a day that encourages people to give back in whatever ways they can. It presents nonprofit organizations with the chance to raise even more money than they would on an average day, which is why many organizations create special campaigns to participate.

Cutting to the chase: Mark received content from the client as the week of Thanksgiving began. Yes, most of the holiday weekend was spent turning it out, including the coordination of the payment/donation gateway. The client was extremely happy!
